The medical aid was provided as a gift from the Ministry of Health and Population per directions from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, according to the statement.

The two military planes took off from East Cairo military base and arrived at destination at Port Sudan Airport, explained the statement.

“This effort comes as a confirmation of the strong historic relations between the Egyptian and Sudanese people as well as Egypt’s pioneering role in supporting the countries of the African continent under all circumstances,” stressed the statement.

The statement added that a number of members of the Egyptian diplomatic mission to Sudan returned to the country to resume their duties at the Egyptian Consulate in Port Sudan.
