Egyptian banks will open from 9:30am til 1:30pm during the 30 days of Ramadan, Egypt's Central Bank said in an emailed statement today.
"On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, we send our greetings to you and to employees and workers in the banking sector," the central bank's statement reads.
"We would like to inform you that the working hours during Ramadan will be from 9am to 2pm for employees and from 9:30 to 1:30 for clients."
Ramadan starts when the new moon appears, which is expected to be 1 August.
