Egypt's stocks closed down on Sunday as benchmark index, EGX30, dropped 0.93 percent to register 6,749 points.
Out of 164 securities that were listed, 60 shares gained and 69 declined in a session that saw a daily turnover of LE407.2 million.
Market bellwether, Commercial International Bank (CIB), dipped 1.51 percent to LE35.51 per share.
Telecommunications stocks also plunged, with Global Telecom Holding falling 1.89 percent to LE2.05 per share and state-run Telecom Egypt dipping 1.58 percent to LE6.22 per share.
Leading real estate developers Palm Hills for Development and Talaat Moustafa Group declined 2.01 percent to close at LE2.42 per share and 1.55 percent to close at LE6.31 per share respectively.
