The total value of property deals in Jordan surged 31 per cent in the year to date to reach JOD3.8 billion (US$5.35bn), according to the country's Department of Land Surveying.
The jump was partly fuelled by an increasing demand for apartment units in Amman, much of it led by non-Jordanians.
Apartment purchases by foreigners reached JOD250 million ($352.36m) in the year to date, an increase of 41 per cent on the same period last year.
