Egypt stocks staying in red

Ahram Online, Tuesday 13 Sep 2011

Egyptian stocks are lengthening their two-day losing streak, the benchmark EGX30 down a further 1.4 per cent to 4,550 points halfway through Tuesday trade.

The main index started the week at 4,755 points before feeling the impact of the weekend's protests in Cairo and the storming of the Israeli embassy. On Sunday, market turnover dropped to under LE210 million, its lowest value since 2004.
