Egypt stocks swinging back into green by midday

Egyptian stocks are staging a modest recovery from yesterday's losses, with the benchmark EGX30 trading up 1.29 per cent at 3,989 points around 90 minutes into Tuesday's session.

On Monday, the main index fell 2.3 per cent in the aftermath of attacks on protesters marching on Cairo's state TV headquarters which killed at least 26 and wounded more than 500.
