Egypt banks to close for three days for Eid holiday

Major financial institutions will be closed from Sunday to Wednesday in the coming week, the central bank announces

Egypt's central bank announced on Tuesday that the country's banking sector will close for three days next week to mark the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, an annual Islamic holiday.

Major Egyptian financial institutions will not reopen after the weekend on Sunday 6 November and will instead remain closed until the following Wednesday, the statement said.
