Egypt will participate as an observer in an Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) meeting in Vienna on Thursday, state agency MENA reported.
Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla said that Egypt's participation at the third joint OPEC and non-OPEC ministerial meeting in Vienna came upon invitation from OPEC.
El Molla is set to hold talks with several Arab and foreign petroleum and energy ministers in order to strengthen economic relations and cooperation between Egypt and the top oil producers, MENA reported.
The current OPEC meeting is expected to extend oil supply cuts to the end of next year.
