Egypt's core inflation declined to 19.8 percent in December 2017 compared to 25.4 percent in November, the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics announced on Wednesday.

The headline Consumer Price Index declined by 0.21 percent in December 2017 compared to an increase of 0.97 percent in November 2017.

The annual rate declined to 21.9 percent in December from 25.98 percent in November.

The Core Consumer Price Index, computed by the Central Bank of Egypt, declined by 0.37 percent in December 2017, compared to an increase of 1.31 percent in November 2017.
