The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Sunday that banks and the stock exchange will be closed next Sunday and Monday, 17 and 18 June, to mark Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which starts on Friday 15 June.
The country’s stock exchange will also close for those two days.
Financial institutions will resume work on Tuesday, 19 June.
Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
