U.S. wheat futures rose 1.6 percent on Monday, climbing to a new 5-month top as floods in Australia hampered grain shipments, threatening to further tighten global supplies.

Chicago Board of Trade March wheat rose 1.6 per cent to $8.07-1/2 a bushel, the highest for the spot-month Wc1 since Aug. 6.
