Egypt's major stocks have started the week strong, the benchmark EGX30 up 1.65 per cent at 3,932 points a half-hour into Sunday's session.
Shares in Orascom Telecom and the Commercial International Bank are seeing the highest turnover.
Last week the main index fluctuated between solid gains and minor losses but climbed a net 2.35 per cent over five days of trade.
