Most of the Egyptian Exchange indexes recovered slightly at the close of Wednesday's trading ahead of a holiday season that will start as of Thursday and last until next Wednesday.
The market capital gained EGP 3.8 billion to reach EGP 805.6 billion amid transactions that hit about EGP 500 million.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went up by 0.85% to close at 14,770.81 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid cap enterprises (SME) was down by 0.04 percent to reach 649.27 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index increased by 0.05 percent to reach 1,657.54 points.
