Remittances of Egyptian expats increased 426.1 million in March to $2.3 billion, said the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Thursday.

Compared to $1.8 billion in February, the surge in March was estimated by the CBE at 23.3%

Egypt's foreign reserves rose to $44.112 billion at the end of March according to early reports of CBE.
