Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly instructed on Saturday Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali to quickly form an operation room to follow up on the process of paying July pensions to 9.8 million beneficiaries on 1 July.

Last week, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi ratified decree No. 74 of 2019, approving a law that increases pensions for state employees by 15 percent.

Pensioners now will receive a monthly increase ranging from EGP 150 to EGP 832, thus raising the minimum pension for former state employees to EGP 900.
