AfDB praises Egypt’s economic performance, seeks further cooperation

Country Manager of African Development Bank Group (AfDB) Malinne Blomberg praised Egypt’s advancing economic performance which has reflected positively on several economic indices.

She said at a meeting on Saturday with Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation Rania El-Mashat, that the AfDB is eager to increase developmental cooperation with Egypt in the coming phase and to cooperate in catalysing the economic integration in Africa in line with regional integration among African countries for development purposes.

El-Mashat stressed the importance of maintaining the strategic partnership between Egypt and the AfDB along with Egypt’s government priorities and contributing to its sustainable development objectives.

The two sides also discussed enhancing cooperation between the AfDB, Egypt, and the African countries to push forward regional integration initiatives and economic integration process.
