Egyptian banks and the stock exchange will close on Wednesday and Thursday on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the 30 June Revolution, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) said.
Both the CBE and the EGX will reopen on 5 July.
The decision comes after the government decided that Thursday will be given as a day off instead of Tuesday to give people an extended weekend.
In its statement, the CBE said that the public banks whose fiscal year will end on 30 June will have a day off on 2 July and will resume work on 5 July.
