Egypt stocks are tumbling for the second consecutive day, the benchmark EGX30 down 2.04 per cent at 4,861 points just over an hour into Monday's session.
The broader EGX70 is trading down 3.09 per cent.
Turnover is around LE130.3 million, with trade focused on EFG-Hermes, Orascom Telecom, Orascom Telecom Media and Technology, and the Talaat Moustafa Group.
On Sunday the main index fell 3.55 per cent amid heightened political disagreements between Egypt's ruling military and the Freedom and Justice Party, the leading political group in parliament.
