The Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) has inked on Tuesday a partnership contract with the German Toennjes Middle East International Company to establish the Arab German Company for the manufacture of secure traffic metal plates, AOI has said in a statement.

The contract was signed by AOI chairman Abdel Moneim El-Terras and chairman of the Toennjes Middle East International Company Marcus Muller through video conference.

El-Terras stressed the importance of implementing the directives of Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to enhance investment opportunities, deepen local manufacturing, and transfer and indigenise modern technology in the manufacture of metal traffic plates in partnership with international companies specialised in this field.

“The German Arab Company is a new industrial edifice that provides many job opportunities for young engineers and technicians and training on the latest technology for manufacturing traffic metal panels secured for all types of vehicles and various means of transport according to the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” El-Terras said.

He added that the agreement includes procuring the latest German-made machines and production lines with modern digital manufacturing technologies that are compatible with intelligent transport systems.

Al-Terras clarified that with this cooperation the AOI aims to meet all the needs of the ministry of interior of metal traffic plates secured in accordance with international quality standards and expand in the future for export to Arab and African countries.

For his part, Muller explained that the signing of this agreement confirms the pivotal role that AOI plays in introducing the latest production technologies and developing them in accordance with international quality standards.
