Ahram Online, Monday 11 Jun 2012

Egyptian stocks are taking another tumble, the benchmark EGX30 down 1.41 per cent to 4,408.6 points half-way through Monday's session.

The broader EGX70 is down 1.04 per cent.

From the over 130 stocks currently trading, more than 100 are in the red.

Turnover is currently around LE85 million (approx. $14m) with EFG-Hermes seeing the heaviest trade -- some LE18.27 million.

Egypt's exchange saw its lowest turnover in a decade on Sunday as trade slumped on the back of political uncertainties in the run-up to the 16-17 June presidential runoff.
