The report ranked Egypt’s Cairo as the top business city in Africa, while Algeria’s Algiers, South Africa’s Johannesburg, and Morocco’s Casablanca came in second, third, and fourth places, respectively.
The index is based on a number of sub-indices, including the economic dimension that examines the economic strength and the level of development of the respective city and the business environment dimension that focuses on infrastructure and logistics.
It also evaluates the societal dimension, which analyses population development, areas of education, and standard of living, and the charisma dimension, which highlights like tourism, culture, and the environment.
