Egypt's prosecutor-general, Abdel-Meguid Mahmoud, has ordered a travel ban on prominent businessman Mohamed Abul-Enein, the state-run news agency MENA reported Thursday.

Abul-Enein is accused of unjustly firing workers in factories he owns and not paying them their financial dues.

Abul-Enein owns Ceramic Cleopatra factories, which are currently witnessing worker protests demanding financial rights.
