Egyptian stocks have closed Monday heavily in the red, the benchmark EGX30 down 4.15 per cent at 4,698.5 points.
The broader EGX70 also tumbled 3.96 per cent.
Total turnover was LE429 million ($70.8m), with OTMT, the Talaat Moustafa Group and EFG-Hermes the three heaviest traders. All of them took significant losses.
