Egypt bourse down on Tuesday, benchmark declines 1.06 pct

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices went down collectively at the close of Tuesday's trading, amid sales by Arab investors as well as foreign institutions and investment funds.

Meanwhile, purchases prevailed in transactions of local institutions.

The market capital lost some EGP 5.3 billion, closing at approximately EGP 684.9 billion after transactions totaled nearly EGP 5.2 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index declined 1.06 percent, standing at 10,137.89 points.

The broader EGX 70 EWI of the leading small and medium enterprises (SMEs) decreased 0.26 percent, recording 2,188.09 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also down 0.56 percent, registering 3,130.63 points.
