Egypt purchases 240,000 tons of Russian wheat

Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has signed a contract to purchase 240,000 tons of Russian wheat.

GASC said that the step aims at boosting Egypt's strategic stockpile of wheat.

The Ministry of Supply illustrated in a statement Tuesday that the shipping of purchased wheat would be between September 20 and November 10.
