Finance ministry urges swift payment of taxes before deadline

Egypt's finance ministry urged swift payment of taxes and due fees ahead of the end of August deadline, to benefit from tax facilities offered under the law pardoning delay in payment.

In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said the government seeks to alleviate the financial burdens on the business community, boost the financial sheet of companies and resolve financially strapped cases.

Tax Authority Chairman Mokhtar Tawfiq stressed that the law allows making up for delayed taxes ahead of 31 August.
