EGX indexes post collective gains Monday amid optimistic outlook

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes posted collective gains at the close of Monday's trading session as a state of optimism prevailed in the market in light of recent coordination between the government and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to tackle various economic issues..

The market capital gained about EGP 11.2 billion to hit EGP 695.3 billion at closing, after transactions that hit about EGP 2.1 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index jumped by 1.81 percent, registering 10,177.64 points.

The broader EGX 70 EWI index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) increased by 2.06 percent, closing at 2,233.52 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was up 2.08 percent, ending at 3,204.13 points
