Eurozone inflation was unchanged in June from the May figure and still above target at an annualised 2.4 per cent, new figures from the EU statistics office Eurostat showed on Monday.
It was the 19th month running to see inflation above the European Central Bank's (ECB) medium-term inflation target of below but close to 2.0 per cent.
Lowest inflation figures were in Sweden, with a 0.9 per cent rise, Greece with 1.0 per cent and Bulgaria at 1.6 per cent. Hungary by contrast saw a 5.6 per cent rise while Estonia and Malta both registered a 4.4 per cent increase.
