Egypt is expected to export other vegetables and fruits such as potatoes and grapes to the Philippines and welcomes importing Philippine agricultural crops, known for their high quality and relatively cheaper prices, according to Sei El-Din.
Egypt is the world’s leading orange exporter at a volume of about two two million.million tons annually, according to government figures.
Egyptian agriculture exports exceeded 4.7 million tons between 1 January and 14 September 2022.

The success of the negotiations is one of the fruits of the new coding mechanism currently being implemented by the quarantine administration, the statement stressed.
The Philippine delegation praised the mechanism for monitoring exports from Egypt, according to the statement.
