Gamal El-Din made his remarks during a meeting with the Egyptian-Chinese Investment Forum, where he shed light on the general investment atmosphere in Egypt that managed to create a good business environment, especially in SCZone.

The Egyptian embassy in Beijing hosted the forum.

A delegation from SCZone was in Beijing to attend the forum and demonstrate the investment opportunities provided by SCZone to major Chinese companies and the business community there.

The delegation also discussed ways to boost cooperation in new projects with the Chinese TEDA Group, one of the largest and most important industrial developers in the Sokhna Integrated Zone.

This promotional mission to the Chinese capital, Beijing – the second station for SCZone officials in the Asian continent – comes as part of ongoing efforts toward attracting various investments and implementing the Zone's strategy for 2020/2025, which aims to attract and localize several targeted industries and make SCZone a strategic hub for the global economy.

In a statement on Monday, SCZone said that the forum saw a rapprochement of economic viewpoints between the Egyptian and Chinese sides.

The Zone is considered a launch pad for promoting investment in the local market and global markets in light of Egypt's international trade links and giant national road network, added Gamal El-Din.

He said SCZone is looking forward to developing cooperation with Chinese investors.

The Egyptian government currently seeks to attract more foreign investments and increase the participation of the private sector in public investments by providing a host of facilities to investors and businessmen.

The industrial zones in the SCZone have attracted several investors in the past few years.
