The fierce selection process involved a comprehensive evaluation of 320 stories from a wide array of media sources across the African continent published since the first ABH edition in 2019 to date.
Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) Prize Competition is a philanthropic programme sponsored by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy to support and inspire African entrepreneurs.
Over the past five years, ABH has provided financial support, training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. This has fostered an entrepreneurial ecosystem across Africa, contributing to progress in local communities.
The price is co-organized by the APO Group, a pan-African communications consultancy and press release distribution service in Africa.
The group expressed its pride in recognizing journalists who have played a significant role in covering entrepreneurship across the continent.
“Their stories shed light on the remarkable achievements of our continent’s entrepreneurs, which are a great inspiration to others. We congratulate the winners... for their exceptional work,” said APO Group Chairman and Founder Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard.
This year is the first year that the ABH issued its Journalism Excellence Awards.
