Infograph: Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues jump 19.4% in Q3 of 2023
Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues jumped by around 19.4 percent to $2.4 billion in the third quarter of 2023 (July-September) compared to $2 billion in the corresponding quarter in 2022, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Since the beginning of last year, Suez Canal revenues increased by over $400 million, which contributed to turning a $10.5 billion deficit in Egypt’s Balance of Payment (BoP) in FY2021/2022 to a surplus of $882 million in FY2022/2023.
