ITIDA signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Brightskies, an Egyptian digital transformation enabler, and Swift-Act, a company specializing in embedded software solutions.
El-Zaher added that ITIDA inked 74 agreements with both domestic and international companies operating within the outsourcing sector since the launch of the Digital Egypt Strategy for Offshoring Industry in February 2022.
The agreements are aimed at expanding offshoring centers, establishing new delivery centers, and generating job opportunities for over 60,000 individuals, he noted.

El-Zaher's remarks were made during a visit to Assiut Governorate, accompanied by the presence of Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat to shed light on the untapped potential of outsourcing in tier 2 cities.
During this visit, ITIDA signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Brightskies, an Egyptian digital transformation enabler, and Swift-Act, a company specializing in embedded software solutions.
These MoUs aim to provide training to 200 local individuals in software design, development, and integrated electronic systems. Subsequently, at least 150 of these graduates will be employed within the offshoring sector in the tech park located in New Assiut.
Furthermore, El-Zaher and Talaat paid visits to the headquarters of iSON Xperiences, an Indian company specializing in Customer Experience Management (CXM), as well as Ejada, a Saudi digital transformation company.

Notably, Ejada exports its production to the Saudi market from its Assiut branch, with plans to expand further in Assiut and continue investing in the Egyptian market.
El-Zaher highlighted the attractiveness of these governorates for global and local tech investments, citing the availability of skilled youth and the cost-effectiveness of operations in Upper Egypt.
He further emphasized that this expansion beyond Cairo reflects Egypt's commitment to offering diverse investment opportunities and capitalizing on the potential of tier 2 cities.
Egypt's progress in the global business process outsourcing industry has been notable, climbing from 11th place in 2022 to the third spot in 2023, according to the Offshore BPO Confidence Index.
As a result, the exports of the outsourcing industry are projected to reach $9 billion by 2026.
These developments will also create employment prospects, increasing the number of specialists in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector to 550,000, Talaat stated previously.
Egypt's ICT sector has experienced consistent growth, achieving a 16.3 percent increase in FY2022/2023, solidifying its status as the country's fastest-growing sector for the fifth consecutive year.
