Central Bank of Egypt sets Ramadan working hours for local banks

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced the working hours for banks during the holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to start on Monday.

According to the statement issued on Thursday, the CBE said banks will operate from 9 am to 2 pm in Ramadan.

Furthermore, banks during Ramadan shall serve clients from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm instead of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, according to the CBE.

The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) announced that the Islamic holy month of Ramadan begins on 11 March in Egypt and lasts 30 days.
