Trade between Egypt and Türkiye increased from $4.7 billion in 2016 to $6.50 billion in 2023, with a growth rate of 38 percent.

According to Trade Map, trade between Egypt and Türkiye peaked in 2022, with Egyptian exports to Türkiye valued at $3.9 billion and imports from Türkiye valued at $3.8 billion.

The top export commodities from Egypt to Türkiye in 2023 were minerals, fuel, and plastic products at $831 and $373 million, respectively, according to Trade Map.

Meanwhile, the top import commodity from Türkiye in 2023 was iron, recording $419 million.

Trade between the two countries recorded nearly $2 billion in the first half of 2024.

According to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Türkiye jumped by 82 percent in FY2021/2022 to approximately $6.78 billion, marking its highest level in the past 10 years.
