Sunday off for all Egypt banks on anniversary of 6 October victory: CBE

Sunday will be a holiday for all banks in Egypt on the anniversary of the 6th of October war triumph, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a statement on Tuesday.

Banking operations are set to resume on the morning of Monday, 7 October.

The CBE advised customers to plan their banking activities accordingly, ensuring that essential transactions are completed before the holiday.

Additionally, the cabinet announced this week that Sunday, 6 October will be a paid holiday for public sector employees to celebrate the Armed Forces Day commemorating the victory of the 6 October 1973 war.
