Egypt’s foreign reserves reach $48.14 bln in April: CBE

Egypt’s net international reserves (NIR) rose to a record $48.143 billion at the end of April 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Tuesday.

The figure increases by $386 million from March’s total of $47.757 billion, continuing a steady upward trend in recent months.

Reserves were recorded at $47.393 billion in February and $47.11 billion in December 2024.

The NIR includes foreign currency assets, deposits, securities, gold holdings, and Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) from the International Monetary Fund.
