Daylight saving time will officially end on Thursday, 30 October, with clocks set back by 60 minutes at midnight, making the time 11pm instead of 12am.

The winter schedule will remain in effect until the last Thursday of April 2026.

In the banking sector, electronic services — including internet and mobile banking, electronic wallets, and ATM transactions — will be temporarily unavailable from late Thursday night until early Friday morning. The duration of disruption may vary between banks.

Customers have been advised to ensure their mobile phones and computers are set to the correct new time to avoid issues completing financial transactions or receiving one-time passwords (OTPs) during the time change.

The Commercial International Bank (CIB) announced that its electronic banking services will be suspended from 11pm Thursday until 3am Friday for system synchronization.

Banque du Caire also said some operational updates will be carried out from 11pm Thursday until 2am Friday, which may affect certain services.

Vodafone Cash informed customers that wallet services could be temporarily impacted during the same period, from 11pm Thursday until 3am Friday.

The services of the national payment application InstaPay, powered by the Central Bank of Egypt, along with several payment and instalment firms such as Fawry and leading finance firm Valu, will also experience short service interruptions linked to the winter time change.

The cabinet had earlier announced that Egypt would begin applying winter time starting the last Friday of October 2025.
