Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said the medal commemorates the Pharaohs' unprecedented advance to the round of 32 earlier this week, expressing pride in the team's achievement and the nationwide support behind it.
"I am very happy with our team's qualification for the second round and with all Egyptians coming together to support the national team that has made us proud," Kouchouk said in a statement, wishing the players and technical staff continued success in the tournament.
Gamal Hussein, head of the Egyptian Treasury and Mint Authority, said the commemorative medal will be struck in 900-fine silver and feature a distinctive design that combines the symbolism of the global sporting event with elements of Egypt's ancient cultural heritage.
The medal will go on sale at the Egyptian Treasury and Mint Authority's sales outlet starting in mid-July, the ministry said.
The Pharaohs secured their place in the last 32 earlier this week and are scheduled to face Australia in Dallas later on Friday.
