Egypt banks, stock exchange closed for feast, 8-11 August

The end of Ramadan holiday will see banks and the stock exchange close for four days

The Egyptian Stock Exchange will be closed, along with all banks operating in Egypt, from Thursday, 8 August, to Sunday, 11 August inclusive, the Egyptian Exchange and Central Bank of Egypt announced Thursday.

The four-day bank holiday comes with the Islamic feast of Eid El-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Stock Exchange and banks are due to resume work on Monday, 12 August.
