Egyptian investment bank EFG-Hermes' net profit for the first six months of 2013 reached LE69 million, a 53 percent drop compared to the same period a year ago, with a consolidated net profit of LE148.2 in H1 2012, the company said on Sunday.
EFG-Hermes reported a net loss of LE29 million in the second quarter of 2013, saying that regional conditions resulted in impairment charges, including some related to legacy investments.
The company's share in the Egyptian stock exchange gained 1.49 percent by 12:18 Cairo time to trade at LE8.12 per share.
