Workers of Samanoud for Wool and Weaving Company will be paid their September salaries and will receive LE10 million in shares to invest in the factory, manpower minister Kamal Abu Eitta announced on Monday.
Payments will be drawn from the company's emergency aid fund, the board decided on 14 November.
Workers will be granted LE10 million in shares to use in loan payments and operation of stalled production lines, Abu Eitta elaborated.
On Saturday, security forces forcibly dispersed a sit-in by Samanoud workers after they blocked railway lines connecting Tanta to Mansoura.
The workers had been on strike for three weeks, demanding payment of their base salaries.
A committee headed by the industry minister will study the feasibility of raising the company's capital by LE121 million.
