Egyptian Petroleum Minister Tarek El-Molla discussed with a delegation of Baker Hughes Company means to boost cooperation in the field of designing and implementing oil projects and manufacturing equipment in addition to exchanging expertise and transferring modern technology via holding joint workshops.
In statements on Wednesday, El-Molla said that the international energy industry witnesses major changes in light of the global tendency towards eco-friendly green power within the framework of decreasing carbon emissions to maintain the environment.
El-Mollah said that the coming period will witness major increase in the activities and investments in the petroleum sector in light of the clear interest of the foreign companies working in Egypt to expand their activities to increase discoveries and production.
Meanwhile, the deputy president of Baker Hughes Company lauded the efforts exerted by Egypt and its pioneering role in establishing East Mediterranean Gas Forum.
