In a statement on Thursday, Tawfiq asserted that the ETA is keen to provide all kinds of support for financers who have joined the e-invoice system.
Tawfiq said that the e-invoice system offers many advantages for financers, including facilitating internal and external reviews as well as tax declarations.
The e-invoice system is used by taxpayers to register their documents with the ETA and get notified about events related to document issuance.
All companies operating in the Egyptian market are required to join the e-invoice system by the end of December 2022, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait said on Tuesday.
Since its official launch in November 2020, 313 documents have been uploaded to the system, which also aims to integrate informal business activities into the formal sector, according to the finance ministry.
