Digital transformation requires four key elements to be achieved in Egypt’s healthcare sector, which are concerted efforts, harnessing the state’s potentials, covering as many people as possible with healthcare services, and facilitating access to these services, said Co-Founder and CEO of Vezeeta Amir Barsoum.

Barsoum made his comments during his participation in the third edition of Al-Ahram Establishment’s pharmaceutical conference that was held over two day and concluded on Monday.

“One of the key factors that ensures the industry sector’s digital transformation is putting in place the appropriate mechanisms and regulations, without which it is difficult to execute digital transformation in the pharma industry,” Barsoum explained.

Egypt's Ministry of Health adopts a strategy meant to transform hospitals into smart medical entities that utiilise artificial intellegance under Egypt's Vision 2030 to improve the quality and speed up the healthcare services provided to patients.
