Egypt’s bourse records collective gains

The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) saw collective gains in its indices at Thursday's close of trading, with the total market value increasing by EGP 49 billion to record EGP 1.006 trillion up from the previous week's EGP 957.1 billion.

The EGX30 index closed at 16,625 points, recording an increase of 6.26 per cent.

The EWI EGX70 index also rose to end at 2,765 points, recording an increase of 8 per cent.

Additionally, the EWI EGX100 index recorded a 7.6 per cent increase, ending at 4,106 points.

Foreign investors saw a net sale of EGP 186.2 million, while Arabs recorded a net sale of EGP 14 million, excluding deals.
