Market watch: Gold prices remain stable in Egypt the beginning of the week, EGX sees mixed results

Gold prices remain stable in the beginning of the week with no major changes compared to last week, while the Egyptian Stock market saw mixed results on Sunday.

Gold prices


The price of 24-carat gold stabilized at EGP 2,657.25 per gram.
The price of 21-carat gold kept its previous level at EGP 2,325 per gram.
The price of 18-carat gold stabilized at EGP 1,992.75 per gram.
The price of the gold pound did not change on Sunday and stabilized at EGP 18,600.

Stock market 


EGX30 rose 1.25 percent and closed at 17,739.63 points.
EGX70 dropped 0.41 percent and closed at 3,637.67 points.
EGX100 inched slightly higher by 0.01 percent to 5,334.04 points.
Market cap ended at around EGP 1.149 trillion, up by around EGP 12 billion from Thursday's EGP 1.137 trillion.
Top gainer was Misr Hotels rising 15.45 percent and closing at EGP 100.
Top loser was the Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy - Panda falling by 6.13 percent and closing at EGP 1.716.


 
Currencies


The official market's buying price for the dollar is EGP 30.84, and the selling price is EGP 30.94, with no major fluctuations.
The euro rose slightly to EGP 33.08 for buying and EGP 33.19 for selling.
The Saudi riyal's buying price stands at EGP 8.22, and the selling price at EGP 8.25.
