Gold prices recovered some of their gains after declining yesterday and official exchange rates were almost unchanged.
Stock market
The EGX30 index rose by 0.32 percent, settling at 26,842 points.
The EGX70 index increased by 1.21 percent, ending at nearly 6,335 points, and the EGX100 index grew by 1.11 percent, closing at 9,001 points.
Market cap gained around EGP 10 billion to end at EGP 1,886 billion.
Egypt Aluminum was the best performer in the market on Thursday, jumping 15.03 percent to end at EGP 92.60.
The worst performer today was Sinai Cement, which dropped 8.23 percent to close at EGP 14.05.
Currencies
The official EGP/USD exchange rate remained at EGP 30.8272 for buying and EGP 30.9586 for selling.
The euro is valued at EGP 33.5646 for purchase and EGP 33.7201 for sale.
The Saudi riyal is priced at EGP 8.2190 for buying and EGP 8.2545 for selling.

Gold purchase prices
The purchase price of 24-carat gold increased by EGP 23 to reach EGP 3,886 per gram on Thursday.
The 21-carat gold price rose by EGP 20 to hit EGP 3,400 per gram, and the 18-carat gold price grew by EGP 17, recording EGP 2,914 per gram.
The gold pound reached EGP 27,200 for purchase, EGP 160 higher than yesterday.
