EGX gains EGP 7 bln: All indexes up

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes posted collective gains valued at EGP 7 billion at the close of Thursday's trading session, backed up by a strong performance by the shares of banks and financial services and the manufacturing, petrochemicals, and real estate sectors.

The bourse posted gains amounting to EGP 7 billion to register EGP 1.149 trillion at closing, amid transactions that totalled EGP 66.1 billion.

The EGX30 benchmark index slightly increased by 0.08 percent, recording 31,276.91 points.

The broader EGX70 EWI index of the leading small- and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) inched up by 0.07 percent, ending at 7,425.65 points.

The all-embracing EGX100 index was up 0.13 percent, closing at 10,577.64 points.
