Egypt bourse indices up at closing of Tuesday trading

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices recorded collective increases at the closing of Tuesday’s trading session, backed by purchases by institutions, Arab investment funds, and Egyptian and foreign investors against sales by local and foreign institutions and Arab investors.

The market capital gained about EGP 17 billion to settle at EGP 2.201 trillion, with transactions amounting to some EGP 193 billion.

EGX30, the main market index, jumped by 0.88 percent, reaching 31,866.06 points.

The small and medium-sized stock index (EGX70 EWI) increased by 1.02 percent, recording 7,615.48 points.

The all-embracing EGX100 index hiked by 0.95 percent, closing at 10,833.57 points.
